Well,

I'm finally in a good mood again. But in a resigned sort of way. The last 9 months have been a boil in the flesh of my timeline. A big old red, sore, pus filled boil. And now I'm lancing it. Not pretty or painless, but at least it'll go away.

At 9:00 this morning, PTCakes delivered a package from an ET. I'm SO excited. With only a hint of hesitation, I withdraw my palm. :-) (Holla FC)

And it's such a juicy package. Can wait for you to suck it all up and savor it. My life is so much better for it.

Well, we'll see what you think after spending some time with the package.

You may find lancing your boil is ten times more exciting (and you sure as hell better be honest with me about it).

No rush with it, Big Mama. But thanks for withdrawing the hand. :)

BTW, I need to make a copy of an essay by David Sedaris about the lancing of his boil (sort of--more to it than that). It's called "Old Faithful."

Nevermind--found

it online here

Awwww, PtCakes...I was posting as you posted, so I didn't see your comment until just now...thanks for that. Methinks you are too kind. But I appreciate the support!!! :)

FC (and BigMama) -- You know I am not kind. I call'em as I see'em. (Of course, some could say I'm blind.)

But this brutal honesty is what I want and love from my writing friends.

Pus-filled boils.
Juicy packages.
Sucking it up and savoring it.

I'd say you ladies need to work on choosing your metaphors more carefully...

What is "a package from an ET"?

I don't really get this post, but I'm glad you're getting rid of your "boil."

The package is her baby, her love, her book. And to fix my previous typo -- I can't wait for you to suck it all up and savor it.

I'm ET, MBY. You know, my OTHER name. ;)

The girls are reading the book and being very nice about it.
